Posted: 26 Oct 2020 04:26 AM PDT Is there a mod that lets you chain prisoners making them unable to move? I'm tired of these organ sacks trying to break out when a simple steel chain would fix things, and adding/removing peg legs is a bit too micromanagey sometimes. [link] [comments] |
Woah, what the heck happened to the turrets? Posted: 26 Oct 2020 05:37 AM PDT It been more than a hot second since i played rimworld , but with 1.0 - 1.2 + that vanilla expanded mod series adding some chunktastic content i thought id jump back in. So I am wondering.. why are turrets so... awful? I used to use them sparingly in line defense to account for the fact that the ai simply throws too many bodies at your colony at the higher difficulties. But these things are awful. They cost resources to maintain? have the accuracy of a half blind colonist ,are so brittle that they tend to be wiped out instantly... AND THEY STILL EXPLODE ??????!?!!??!!?? well i mean the explosion might be the most useful part about them since technically it does more damage to a swarm of melee pawns than the actual turret does... So what happened? I feel like I can't ever leave my base anymore because I have no choice but to keep every colonist at home to cover all the angles of attack. A job i used to be able to do with a handful of colonists and a non trivial investment in turrets. I am honestly at the point where i might as well replace my turrets with ieds... they cost less to maintain and kill more.. and some how do less collateral damage... [link] [comments] |
