Posted: 15 Dec 2020 03:43 AM PST Coreviu dropped with the inital three, and has been alongside them ever since. She was engaged to another colonist, and the two were happy, until the colony was sent to clear out an ancient danger... As we took up positions, and one of our own opened the breach, out poured a scyther and a centipede. The scyther was no problem, coreviu with her sniper rifle delt with it. Then the first shots rung from the centipede, pearcing her lung, leg and brain. Despite our best efforts, she died on her way to the infirmary. We held a grand burial ceremony for her, and begun construction on a grand tomb for her and any future sacrifices. The colony soon went downhill. Her fiance was constantly having mental breaks, and had to be placed in a hut far from the colony until he had got over her death. On top of this, three of her friends had fallen to alcoholism and smokeleaf addiction. Things looked bleak, then, the quest. The innamiar imperium had given us a quest: to hunt a Fenrir, the rewards? Goodwill and a mechanite resurrecter. We desperately sent out our best fighters and we dug coreviu from her resting place and relocated her to the freezer. The fenrir was a tough adversary, however one we overcome. Once the caravan had returned, we gathered in the church for the resurrection ceremony. All hoped that it would repair her brain just as it would her body, but it never did. When she was resurrected, she was brain dead. She could see and hear, but she had lost her ability to move, eat or talk. Luckily, her pain receptors were part of the damaged part, meaning she was in little pain. Then it clicked. Luciferium. As addictive as it was, it could heal her, but we had no way to get it, since no trade caravans ever passed through the colony. So i went mod hunting, and eventually found mechanite forge, and installed it, giving us a chance to allow for her recovery, using luciferium. As of right now, we are so damn close to getting luciferium, but I won't use any one her until we have about two years worth, roughly 24 luciferium. She resides in our bunker infirmary, and her fiance visits her regularly, usually talking to her about things. Her friends overcame their addictions, and her fiance has moved back into the colony, albiet under surveillance. Thanks for reading this, hope you got some enjoyment. Hopefully it provided a nice happy checkpoint to pick up your mood after reading dozens of tragedies. [link] [comments] |

Help: modded RimWorld on MacOS Posted: 15 Dec 2020 06:31 AM PST Dear MacOS users or just someone who knows how the game works, I've encountered a bug, while trying to setup my modlist. In short, is there any chance to get it working without deactivating certain mods (BetterLoading doesn't help) or should I quit trying to paly modded RimWorld on MacOS altogether. Further text describes the problem in detail. I know, there were a lot of post here or on Ludeon forum about it, but it seems I've tried everything! The "Empire" mod and some others cause graphics glitches and missing "c" and "r" letters. Uninstalling those mods helps, but I want to include them in my build. BetterLoading mod delays the problem: instead of missing "c"s and "r"s the game loads just fine at first, but when I restart it, BetterLoading stops ta the second step called "Loading Mod Content Files", sub-step 2 - "Royalty". It just freezes the loading. The game responds just fine: loading bar updates and game window opens without delays. I've left it for half an hour ones and it doesn't seem to go anywhere. Quitting the game causes the modlist to reset to default: Core + Royalty. iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013, OSX version: 10.13.6, game version: Steam 1.2 (64-bit), latest mod versions ("c" and "r" bug have been appearing with some modes for a long time though) Who has encountered the bug and was able to fix it? Who has some insides that might help me/us? p.s. sorry for errors. English is not my mother tongue [link] [comments] |

Posted: 15 Dec 2020 03:37 AM PST After a while struggling to get started, i'm pretty happy with my (heavily moded) 4 years old colony. Gonna try and expand out on the map, out of my protected nest, and have a look on other colonies. Been doing everything rather slowly, i remain a beginner :p [link] [comments] |
Posted: 15 Dec 2020 08:21 AM PST I must be doing something wrong with tribal.. should i focus on the tree since the very begining? which pawn should I use the tree on? if i focus too much on the tree then a lot of other things dont get done (cutting stones, growing enough food, tame animals, etc) what should i prioritize? how important is the tree? Is there a mod to force prisoners to fight for you? Posted: 15 Dec 2020 04:50 AM PST I have been, thanks to Randy, receiving lots of raids and lost quite many colonists, and my prisoners keep eating all the food. I want to arm the prisoners with cheap weapons such as hammers or throwing rocks, maybe even a couple of suicide bombers. Is there a mod that allows prisoners to be forced to fight for you? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 14 Dec 2020 10:07 PM PST On higher difficulties, how do you all deal with mech raids? It seems like I can't ever get good enough weapons to deal with them by the time they show up. [link] [comments] |
