    I propose a mod of the most brutal suffering imaginable that could be inflicted on a pawn.

    Debt Slavery.

    Pawns get paid out of the silver pile every week. Right away they have to pay income tax. They have to pay for their food. They have to pay for their bed. They have to pay rent on their room. They have to pay for electricity. Heat. Drugs. Booze. Medical Care. The same for their kids. This causes low money. This causes stress that doesn't go away. Stress causes medical problems and you miss work. You make less. You can't pay. If you can't pay you accrue debt. This causes more stress. The cycle continues until the pawn breaks and they go to jail and their organs get harvested and auctioned off. Their stuff too. Or something.

    Some people like alcoholics or drug addicts will never have a shot at surviving.
