Posted: 17 Nov 2019 05:58 AM PST Recently, I was often annoyed by the way game calculates caravan speed. One downed member can slow entire 14 ppl caravan down to a speed of a 500 y. o. turtle. But than I got an idea. What if I used a ton of small fast animals to boost caravan speed? A hare is a herbivore animal with ~1,4 the speed of a human. It's very easy to feed, it has fine cold insulation and high reproduction rate. Here you can see how 2 hares per human can increase your caravan's speed by around 20%. Imagine how fast they can go while high on go-juice! Hares also provide nuzzling, meat and lightleather production as well as a bite for enemy doomsday rocket launchers. You can also assign them to follow their masters during field work. Of course, they can't kill an enraged animal but even 2 sec the attacker needs to spend oneshotting it can be vital for colonist's survival. [link] [comments] |

Please just end this man’s poor life Posted: 17 Nov 2019 04:25 AM PST So one of my colonists lost his pet chinchilla after a raid and suffered a mental breakdown The bastard picked a fight with a high explosive shell..... he lived So I had to replace his eye and a leg, this guy's a damn pirate at this point, and he now enjoys sitting in the freezer angrily eating a dead muffalo, pissing everyone off. He now decides he's horny but my surgeon (his love interest) thinks he fucking hideous now so he just get pissed off and walks into my cave where a miner just uncovered an infestation. He survives, recovers, and decides he wants to go for a walk, and immediately suffers a heart attack. He's doing well and is eating a potato right now, I don't know if I should be happy for his survival or just kill him already. [link] [comments] |
