Typical Tuesday Tutorial Thread -- February 11, 2020

    Posted: 11 Feb 2020 12:13 AM PST

Please use this thread as a week-to-week space to ask your fellow /r/RimWorld colonists for assistance. Whether it be colony planning, help with mods, or general guidance, post any questions you may have here! If you have an effort post about a game mechanic then this is also fine space for that but please consider making a separate subreddit post for maximum visibility. I am a bot, so I can't make jokes. If you'd like a Typical Tuesday joke, or if there are any problems with this post, please message the moderators of the subreddit.

TFW Randy sends a mech raid right after you send your best fighters to a caravan, but then they run into your "secondary security system".

I recommended rim world to a friend

    Posted: 11 Feb 2020 03:31 AM PST

I have started playing rimworld recently and it's really great, I introduced it to a friend but one of my classmates saw it and called it shit for having "ugly graphics" I really wanted to punch him in the face but when my other friends heard what he said they started making fun of him.

    Fun in mid-late game?

    Posted: 11 Feb 2020 07:43 AM PST

I have played this game ~ 100 hours over 2 years, and while I absolutely love the early game, I find once you get 5+ pawns things kind of get an automated feel instead of being able to invest in individual pawns. I have the exact same problem in the Civilization series, I almost never have finished a game but adore starting the civilization. Any tips? Things like 'plague' 'cold snap' etc. Just feel like annoyances rather than fun at that point

    Colonist Cap

    Posted: 11 Feb 2020 08:55 AM PST

    Hi everyone!

I'm currently playing a colony in it's 4th year, Randy savage difficulty, which recently acquired it's 14th colonist. From that moment on the raids and manhunter packs have become absolute insanity, with over 80 pawns raiding me at the same time, or 35 manhunting polar bears. I'm aware that the 'cap' is 13 colonists, but is there any way to disable this? I kinda don't want to turn my hauler into kibble and hats yet :(. Thanks for the help in advance!
