Look, it was a big ancient danger. Probably as big as they get. And I know the loot is randy tier, but usually they have 8 pods...that's 8 pawns to choose from if I put my tranquilizer IEDs right.

Look, there were 15 of you...with 4 muffalos. Your lowest tier weapon was a carbine. I figured between my 4 pawns and battle droid...we could do it.

I gave your faction 400 unrefined magicite..hell our relationship was at 98. You have my back, we got yours. I have always been great to you, I even delivered 52 herbal medicine for that infinite chemreactor.

How was I to know...I was unleashing horror while randy plotted. I had no way to know the weird laughter and ominous feeling WASNT to do with opening that ruin. You took on those mechanoids side by side, your geomancer did a good job sealing the centipede while we killed them.

But I am sorry all but 2 of you died. I didn't even know star vampires were a thing. The 10 of you patching yourselves up while my pawns went indoors...you weren't ready. We came as fast as we could, but the beast was too powerful. By the time we got there...it was a mess. Midori polymorphed it...and while we shot the hell outta the horse...she dragged 4 of you still alive back to base.

Our victory came at a cost. Dr droideka exploded due to a core breach,and Leaf lost his neck? Midori doesnt know how he can be alive while missing his neck, shes chalking it up to Leaf's frequent berserker rages. Our turrets needed reloading.

When the 4 of you finally recovered, we didn't realize the turrets were still down. We didn't understand all the gear you dropped was attracting the federation. The lord randy decided sleeping sickness was gonna run rampant, and when that raid happened...We didn't realize you were leaving.

Midori took out the Federation commander. She used your abandoned doomsday launcher. But the 4 of you weren't ready to face the weird droids they used.

Look, we survived and gifted the next caravan from your people everything we could. Your men and women are all in sarcophagi, enshrined to honor their aid. They wont be forgotten, and Midori has been taking classes. Next time she will be more able to aid your people.

Also be aware there is a small ruin nearby, and we hear the skittering of insects. We may require aid.
