Randy just moved me to near tears twice in three minutes Posted: 03 Dec 2020 10:42 PM PST The four year old child of the colony, Enne, decided to throw a party. Naturally the whole colony came, including Pickles and Lynx. These two we bought together from a slave ship at huge expense out of desperation not long after our colony lost 90% of it's members to a toxic spewing mech cluster not far away. Obviously the experience had bonded them as they became lovers not long after. At little Enne's party Pickles and Lynx became engaged. The whole thing was so adorable and beautiful and wanted to cry. Then there was a zzzt event in the hospital wall right behind where I was keeping the shelf with my glitterworld medicine. I lost about 25 carefully curated and saved glitterworld medicine. I wanted to cry again. Never change, Randy. Never change. [link] [comments] |

Does proximity to factions affect frequency of raids/visits from that faction? Posted: 04 Dec 2020 06:15 AM PST Anyone know the tile distace from your faction that is taken into account for visits? Let's say I settle 8 tiles from a gentle tribe, 15 tiles from a fierce tribe, and 20 tiles from nutty jailbirds. How would the tile distance from my settlement effect raid and visit events if at all? Is there a tile distance at which the game ignores a settlement for random event calculations? Let's say I went 30 tiles from nutty jailbirds. WOuld that mean no more jailbird raids or less raids? Posted: 03 Dec 2020 04:30 PM PST Had this shitty muffalo right, got addicted to chemshine after passing out from overdosing in storage. Welp, designed zones prohibiting it from entering storage ever again. Which the stupid thing ignored. Got to the chemshine once again, got absolutely wasted, and suddenly it catches fucking fire, explodes with the force of small yield nuclear warhead, rest of the chemfuel explodes as well, and our entire warehouse vanished because of one fucking drunkard animal.
