Tried to document a playthrough, it lasted 2 hours. Here is the story. Posted: 09 May 2020 11:29 PM PDT Here's the log I wrote down in a note: ``` Phoebe Chillax Rough Naked Brutality, but instead I start with a T1 android. He already has the T1 android research (like the 3 crash-landed androids scenario) so he can create more of himself when the resources start flowing in. Chris #51 Cybernetics Researcher Age 11 (Spent 2 quadrums, 5 days in suspension at some point in his past) T1 Android Overclocked Artificial Brain Shooting 1 Melee 2 Construction 1 Mining 1 Cooking 3 Plants 0 Animals 3 Crafting 6 Artistic 1 Medical 3 Social 2 Intellectual 12 ~Decembary, 5500 Crashlanded into the side of Mount Graygoose, a mountain range in a tropical rainforest. Movement difficulty is 5. Stones are Marble and Granite. 617m Elevation. Average temperature of -1C to 36C (The planet has a high axial tilt, leading to wide temperature swings. This is courtesy of the Realistic Planet mod. 4.352 M of rainfall a year. Several rivers run through and near the mountain, but I didn't pick a tile with any. Chris's starting skills have improved - Here's what they look like now: Shooting 1 Melee 2 Construction 2 Mining 1 Cooking 3 Plants 3 Animals 3 Crafting 6 Artistic 1 Medical 4 Social 2 Intellectual 12 So far I've set up a small A-Frame with some storage inside, a daylily patch, a stonecutting bench, and a small stone chunks stockpile zone. Being an android, Chris doesn't need the amenities humans do - all he needs is to put some organic material in his biomass generator every once in a while. Grass is fine, but not effective - I'm using my daylily patch to feed him right now, so he can increase his growing skill and have a food source close to home. I might start giving him rice or corn eventually, but for now this works. The occasional monkey and rat killed by cobras also make a hearty meal. Chris's biomass reactor isn't too picky. Chris had a run-in with another T1 android named William from a hostile faction. William had a knife, but Chris had a greatbow that got left as a gift by some traders. Chris's shooting skill is too low to reliably hit anything with it, so he ended up being downed. William stole some components and left, and after a really short amount of time Chris was back on his feet and able to do some minor repairs to himself. He was slow for about 3 or 4 days before his self-repair mechanites healed all his wounds. The worst one was his left leg, which had been stabbed twice. 4 Decembary 5500 - Chris is fully healed. Made some changes with how the screenshots are rendered, the first 30 frames or so might have a worse quality. I'll continue to experiment, hopefully the quality gets better over time. Currently I have a cell size of 32x32 px and am taking them every 8 hours, in case you're wondering. I found out that the daylily thing isn't going to work, as they have little to no nutritional value. I'm going to switch it over to rice and have him keep eating berries, alocasias and low shrubs, as those seem to get the best bang for the buck in terms of nutrition. 6 Decembary 5500 - Storyteller ship event. Hauling, cleaning, growing, and construction is done. I'm having Chris do a little bit of mining to increase his skill before he goes for the component and steel veins around the map. Another 1-person raid, this time a tribal with a steel knife. Chris is faster and has the bow, so my tactics should be self-explanatory. That didn't work, I was reckless and Chris got stabbed. Now it's down to a brawl. Chris died. His story is over. Chris got killed by a 16-year old naked tribal with a poor quality steel knife. ``` He're a little sketch I made real quick. I'm sorry, Chris. You'll be missed. [link] [comments] |
