    Treacherous Tips #4 - Medicine Man

    Welcome to Treacherous Tips #4!

    This tip will help with transport pod crashes, wounded colonists, heat stroke, infections and wounded pets!

    Have you ever had a transport pod crash that was simply too far away? 'Bleeding Out in 2 Hours' but you're just too far away? Well this is the tip for you.

    Let's start by assuming there is someone or something that's wounded and needs rescuing. Warning, this will not work for people who need to be captured before being tended to. Start by building a 'Sleeping Spot' over the spot where the downed colonist or pet is and assign it to infirmary. Now, if your doctor is near some medicine already, you can assign them to tend to the victim. However, if they are too far away to get the medicine, you can assign "Heal without Medicine" under the victims 'Health' tab. This will lead the doctor to heal the victim without carrying them back to your base. It is not a perfect solution but it will extend the bleeding out time enough that you can bring some more medicine to help them properly or take them back to the base.

    I no longer have the "prepare carefully" option after downloading children mod. Prepare carefully mod is still there, but the button at characters menu is gone. help?

    Fellow war criminals, I decided to delve deeper into what mods Rimworld has to offer, currently I'm at 150 mods with no error log. However, the start-up times for the game averages about 8-10 minutes. Is there any way to fix this other than reducing the number of mods?
