    I feel like we need a different way to "beat" the game

    I feel like the only way to "finish" the game, being to build a ship, to be kinda limiting on my 15065th playthrough. There should be other clear conditions depending on what start you choose.

    For example if you choose tribal start your end objective should be to unite/eliminate all tribes on the map.

    For Crashland it would be either to build a new ship and continue your journey, or to make the world a glitterworld. For instance, if your settlement has enough wealth and people, you can turn it into a city. You'd lose control of it, but it would give you a permanent ally and generate passive resources to further expand. You could even set objectives like building new roads or structures to mitigate natural disasters.

    Just a little something to think about is all. I personally dont like the idea that you dont have to build the spaceship if you dont want to and designate your own ending. I like to be able to reach an ending in my games is all.
