Typical Tuesday Tutorial Thread -- November 26, 2019

    Posted: 26 Nov 2019 12:12 AM PST

Please use this thread as a week-to-week space to ask your fellow /r/RimWorld colonists for assistance. Whether it be colony planning, help with mods, or general guidance, post any questions you may have here! If you have an effort post about a game mechanic then this is also fine space for that but please consider making a separate subreddit post for maximum visibility. I am a bot, so I can't make jokes. If you'd like a Typical Tuesday joke, or if there are any problems with this post, please message the moderators of the subreddit.

    Looking for a specific mod

    Posted: 26 Nov 2019 05:58 AM PST

Hey. I'm looking for a specific mod that allows you to right click on an item and task a pawn to work that item. For example, if its corn, you can prioritize your pawn to carry/cut/plant that area. There is also a menu item below to expand the area for that task. The UI would also show an exclamation point to show where your area the task will now do. I dropped a bunch of mods and lost this one. I did try to search, but with terms like "force pawns" or "right click menu" return every single mod out there. Thanks for your help.

    Most absurd gamestart

    Posted: 25 Nov 2019 05:58 PM PST

    Mine follows: tribal start.

Day 1- pick a base location that's easily defensible, build makeshift hut and transport all supplies inside.

Day 2- Plant crops, mine steel to build basic production stations.

Day 3 - Start mining out some bedrooms, go hunting. Cook eats some raw meat and gets food poisoning, hm.

Day 4 - Cook runs across the map to pick up an animal carcass, I get an extreme break warning (uh oh), she goes into a psychotic daze at the edge of the map.

I'm like, I'm gonna get raided now. Yep, next morning, there it is. A single raider wanders in right next to her, smacks her unconscious and carries her the 3 steps to the edge of the screen. Welp, no more cook.

Can you see the cartoon rainclouds above my head....

LF MOD: Tree/Shrub/Hedge Planter Box/Ground with continuous Floor Textures

    Posted: 26 Nov 2019 05:51 AM PST

    Hey,

So I'm trying to find something that allows me to line my streets with trees or shrubbery without using bare soil tiles that break up the floor textures around them.

I've tried "Garden Box", but this does not work for normal trees because of sprite issues. I've also tried "AnyPlant", which is cool, but it's only a small pot supporting bonsai plants.

    Any other ideas?

    Tks!
